Last weekend Justin and I headed up to Ka'anapali for the 1st Annual Ka'anapali Fresh Festival. The festivities were held at the Old Lahaina Resort and featured the delicious food babies of Chef Bernardo Salazar. It was de-licious! Everything was served pupu style (pupu meaning appetizer). We had burger sliders, mahi mahi and shrimp tacos, ribs, flatbread pizza, eggplant Parmesan, and BBQ pulled pork. You also got two beers from the Maui Brewing Co., and those were excellent as well. The company made a special brew for the festival called "Ka'anapali Golden Ale," and it was a lilikoi ale with guava in it. SO GOOODDD. :)
The food was great, the concert was a blast, and the sunset was amazing. We had a great time, and I feel like we'll definitely pick up tickets again next year. Though I need to make a t-shirt that says, "No, we're not newlyweds. :)" Though, I'll take it as a compliment that people can see that we still like each other after nearly 6 years of being together. :)
